The Wind Catchers started to fly!
In the summer of 1997 I accidentally made a kite by using feathers by a swan. I brought it to a local kite festival at Gotland. Following year I was invited to an international kite festival in Stockholm. I met kiteflyers from Europe and Japan, I saw many fatastic kites and made many friends. I understood that my feather kites were very rare.
I have been invited to several international kite festivals to show them. My kites have participated in exhibitions both in Sweden and other countries. One of my greatest experiences was when I became "Best in show" in Hongkong 2000.
Flying a kite is to find out if it works but also a way to let the mind take off and fly free as a bird.
I also run kite workshops with children and adults.

Most of my life has a connection to the sea, fishing, swimming, sailing, looking for floatsam, design and flying kites. I call myself the "Windcatcher" and my creations "Wind Catchers"
About 1990 I started to make handmade articles using driftwood. I also made simple wind mobiles using floatsam, fossils and bird feathers. Gradually my Wind Catchers became more sophisticated and I got a lot of credit for my creations that inspired me to develope constructions as well as design.
