About Granny

Author: Janet Atkinson

Browse the book

This book is about my earliest memories as a young child growing up in the 1950s to the time of writing in 2016. I wrote it primarily for my grandchildren, but also my children. It is an account of what life was like in those early years, and what my life was like, the good times and the bad!

Janet Atkinson

Born in Enfield, I currently live in Cornwall with my second husband of over 30 years. I have two children from my first marriage, 7 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. I live a quiet life with our cats and enjoy walking and gardening.

The Flesh And Shadows

JMS

Flesh and Shadows is a gripping psychological horror novel that delves into the murky depths of the human psyche against the backdrop of a crime-ridden urban landscape. Detective Alex Mercer struggles with insomnia and troubled relationships as he contends with the pressures of a city spiralling into chaos due to a series of grisly murders. As he investigates these chilling cases, he becomes entangled in the web of fear and paranoia that grips the community, while the media sensationalizes each horrifying detail. Alex confronts unsettling clues and ominous whispers that hint at dark forces lurking beneath the surface. With each eerie discovery, the weight of isolation presses heavily on him, straining his already frail friendships with Claire and Jack. As Alex's grip on reality begins to waver, the tension escalates, leading him to a chilling confrontation with the truth behind the haunting murders. In Flesh and Shadows, readers are taken on a harrowing journey through dread and despair, where the struggle against overwhelming darkness becomes both a personal battle and an exploration of the horrors that lie hidden in the shadows of the human soul.
