A book of poetry for children of all ages. Most of the poems were written for use with primary school children in the UK and Hong Kong. Some were just for fun - some were used to generate classroom discussion and to prompt students to write themselves. Most benefited from being read aloud.
The oldest poem in the collection is "Alone" and was written over 30 years ago.
The title of the collection "Mackerel" is meant to conjure a kind of "fishy" doggerel.
Colin Page is a retired primary school teacher and Vice Principal. He worked in the London Borough of Havering for 7 years before relocating to Hong Kong where he worked for the rest of his career.
He currently lives in Wales where he has a t shirt that reads "0% Welsh But I Live Here"
