The results of a game played by the Clarke family and feared by friends and relations.
The poems are witty and eccentric and after much polishing manage to both rhyme and scan.
This is mainly a record for my family but other are welcome to enjoy them.
The author, Philippa Bower, played the game with her brothers and father - plus, occasionally, her mother and any visiting friends and relations, who could not escape.
She went on to become a poet and belongs to a group who performs in West Sussex
