How does it work?

All you have to do is to fill out the information requested on the site. When you click on Create account you are automatically taken to the Production site. From here you can start writing or importing texts (NO DOWNLOAD NEEDED), or invite others to contribute to your personalized and unique book.

You can choose different designs and choose between four different types of books. You can also import photos to your book.

When you have satisfactory reviewed your book, all you have to do is to place your order. Your book will be delivered within 2-3 weeks from the time of payment and approval.

What resolution should I use?

To make sure that our site is fully functional, you should use a resolution of 1280x720 or higher (PC) and 1440x900 (Mac).

I am unable to move my texts or photos?

Your screen is probably not of high enough resolution.

For PC: change your resolution to 1280x720 or higher.

For Mac: change your resolution to 1440x900 or higher.

I am unable to upload photos?

Make sure that the file you are trying to upload is a JPEG-file, if it still doesn't work your file might be damaged, then you can try to upload another photo.

The production site is empty and something unexpected happened, what can I do?

Try to REFRESH the site by clicking on the refresh button on your browser, if this doesn't work, please log out and log in again.

How long will it take for me to receive my book?

It takes about 2-3 weeks. Solentro has an order-break-point every Monday at 8.00 AM (Central European Time), orders before this point will normally be sent out on Wednesday the week after (holidays not included). Solentro uses first class mail and your book will be delivered accordingly.

What kind of font and font-size are used in the books?

Font: Arial.
Font-size: 24 (title), 16 (under title) and 12 (insert).

Can I make any changes to my book once I've placed my order?

Once the payment is made and you have received a confirmation email from us, you cannot make any further corrections because your book is already being produced. It is therefore important that the design, texts and photos are exactly as you wish before you place your order.

Is it possible to write by hand in the book?

We recommend that you make your book digitally in our system. However, it is possible to write directly in the book, use CD/DVD-pens because they are "softer", you can also use "soft" gold and/or silver pens.

If you wish to use other types of pens make sure that you don't harm the existing material - you are solely responsible for all modifications made after receiving your book, such as "scrapbooking" and the alike.

Where did this idea come from?

For our father’s birthday we wanted to give something unique and very personal. We contacted friends and family and asked them to describe our father, out of these texts we made a book. Where does the paper come from?

All the books you order from Solentro carry the Swan ecolabel. The Swan logo demonstrates that a product is a good environmental choice. The paper in our high quality books is made by Grycksbo Paper AB. This company is certified by ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, and is also registered by EMAS. Our printing partner Elanders is part of the program Climate Neutral Enterprise and they are the only Climate Neutral printer in Sweden. The enterprise aim to increase the awareness and knowledge about carbon dioxide discharge in the industry. All of the companies constituting Elanders Sweden are certified according to ISO 14001.

Does it matter which browser I’m using?

No, our web application support all recent versions of established browsers (Explorer, Firefox, Safari). We recommend broadband.
